Date in a php form

I have created a php form that enter the data in MySQL data

What I would like to do is the visitors to see in the page the today date.

Also to have a field in the form in order the visitor to enter the date tha fill in, the form, with limits e.g can not go more that one week before the today date and not one week ahead.

You can put the month, day, and year each in their own drop-down menus.
