Downgrade db from 4.1 to 3.23

Hi, i've been trying for ages to move my phpbb forum from my old server to a new server and i just found out that the new server uses 3.23 mysql while the old one had been using 4.1!

Is there anyway i can take all the tables and content and transfer it into the new mysql database?

Can i downgrade the content at all, or something, before inserting it into the new database?

are there problems using phpmyadmin's export database???

i consider doing the same 'cause of the new ( changed ) license from lgpl to gpl...
