help un-randomizing!

I have the following function that's pulling random questions from my database . I need to have it not randomize the selection and instead put it in ascending order. Changing RAND to ASC doesn't seem to do it.

Any help will be very appreciated. 🙂

What have you tried? Stating your DBMS would also be useful.

Hey, hey I'm connecting to MySQL, sorry about that. I've tried replacing all the RAND's but it doesn't seem to work. This particular line is tripping me:

$db->query("CREATE TABLE ts_gsq_$this->id type=heap SELECT id, RAND() as RAND FROM $game_question_cache_table ORDER BY RAND LIMIT " . $this->game[questions_per_session]);
}

Off-topic, but I grew up in Singapore (Clementi), I live in Houston now. Can't wait to visit my family next... miss my hawkers 🙂
