Newbie problem after install

Hi,

First let me start by saying i'm new to php. I only heard about it yesterday for the first time. I've been asked to install and set up a test version of it for evaluation. I want to install it on windows 2003 with iis6.0.
I've done the manual install and followed all the notes but when i create the test script named index.php and browse to http://localhost/index.php

phpinfo();
?>

and run it i just get a blank page in my browser. Does anyone know what i've doing wrong?
I've also tried a few other bits of code ive found on the new and when i browse to them it seems to display the code in the browser.

Can anyone help?

this is what happens, when Server does not support PHP.
so you have to read install and server setup documentation on how to enable PHP

I you search web, you will find many articles on
setting windows 2003 with iis6.0 up for PHP.
I also think such instruction can be included in your PHP distribution.
