I have a search query where I am trying to match 2 table fileds against 2 form post fields as below
$sqlquery ="SELECT entryID,negotiate,posted,jobtitle,worktime, salary, location, LEFT(description,10) FROM recruitment WHERE MATCH (jobtitle,location) AGAINST('%$test% %$loc%' IN BOOLEAN MODE)";
or
$sqlquery ="SELECT entryID,negotiate,posted,jobtitle,worktime, salary, location, LEFT(description,10) FROM recruitment WHERE MATCH (jobtitle,location) AGAINST ('$test','$loc')";
I have tried both these versions but it does not find the correct information
I have the words south west in the location form field and a job title name of optician in jobtitle form field
yet the results show not just the south west area like they should but also other areas such as south east and town names also show up in the search
only column names with south west should show!!and jobtitle of optician
both columns JOBTITLE AND LOCATION are set to FULLTEXT
