having problem with ssh2

i m trying to execute the ssh2_connect() command but i m getting the error
'Fatal error: Call to undefined function ssh2_connect() in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/ekb/addsug.php on line 27'

i am working on RHEL 4 , php 5 and apache 2.
i have also installed openssl and libssh2

can anybody tell what could be the problem?

Did you restart the server after enabling ssh2 in your php.ini?
