I'm looking for some conceptual advice about extending a simple image gallery that I'm writing, which gets its data from a flat-file database. Usual thing: there's a page of thumbnails, and when you click on one you go to the picture on another page.
At the moment the thumbnail page I've written uses a foreach loop to scan the database, and draws thumbnails as it finds them, with the result that all the images that are found are drawn down the page.
What I'd like to do, is to draw only nine images, and then - somehow - have links to further pages (how created I don't know) to display the rest of them, so that there's a maximum of nine drawn per page. And links to the pages under each batch of nine thumbs.
I realise this must be a well-worn scenario but being a PHP newbie I'd be grateful for any advice!!!
Thanks. Jenny.
