some help on survey about interface

Greetings:
My name is Quyin Fan, and I am a graduate student at the Information
Systems Department in UMBC. Currently I am conducting a Web-based survey
on user satisfaction and preferences concerning product recommender
systems in e-commerce. Apologies if you have received this message before.
The research may contain significant value to explore the different
possibilities for e-commerce companies in e-commerce. As part of this
research, I am looking for people like shopping online to help me to
fill out a short survey. This survey can conveniently be found at:

It should not take any longer than 15 minutes of your time. If you could
fill out the survey by clicking on the above link, I would very much
appreciate it. If you are currently teaching a class, I would very much

Um, is this at all relevant to PHP? I realize you want to get a survey done, but it's not even a PHP request or anything to DO with PHP. It's an ASP page.

"Sorry to bother those are not intersted" is the same logic that spammers use when they dump their crap on millions of email mailboxes. I find it hard to believe that as an IS major, Dr. Ozok hasn't taught you about the social constructs of virtual communities.

When you move something, then say you moved it, put a link to the new location 😃

Good idea: I could post to say I'm moving it, I move it, then I post again to say I've moved it (typically this would be about 30 seconds later) which would have to say which forum I moved it to so that people would know, and in the meantime I could leave a link in the forum I moved it from that says (in this case) something like "Moved: some help on survey about interface" that links to the thread in the forum where I moved it to.

I'll keep that in mind 😃

We must use divination to find the new location of the thead as it is apparently beneath the moderator to put a hyperlink to the new location, which would, if present, w/ some simple text, inform the reader that the thread can be read and posted to at said new location which is reachable by following the conveniently placed link.

I'd think it "best practice" to point to where you move stuff to if you actually want people to find it.

I can't tell if you guys are just goofing around - or if you're trying to outsarcasm eachother. 🙂

Either way, I think that in this particular situation, once the Original Post was moved, it wasn't really worth finding in its new location. And, personally, when I find myself moving things that don't need to be found, I ask myself why this spam wasn't just deleted to begin with. But hey, that's just me. Mr. Cranky.
