Question about showing info in PHP Page...

Hi there,

Is there a way to show the domain name in a URL on a webpage?

So for example... I have a PHP Page called: see-domain-name.php

What would I enter in that PHP page to show the actual domain name the viewer placed in the URL?

So if the website was a virtual domain that had many parked domains, when ebtering a specific domain you would see the specific domain on the page results...

So if you enter with our without www:

www.parked-domain1.com it would show: DOMAIN IS: parked-domain1.com
www.parked-domain2.com it would show: DOMAIN IS: parked-domain2.com
parked-domain3.com it would show: DOMAIN IS: parked-domain3.com

Or does anyone know of a script that does this?

To strip the www. off, you'd obviously use [man]str_replace/man and echo the resulting string.

If your sure its going to be a .com, you could use str_replace again.

$domain = str_replace("www.","",$domain);
$domain = str_replace(".com","",$domain);
echo "Domain is: ".$domain; // If domain="www.mysite.com", displays "mysite"

Or, to simplify it down to one line:

$domain = str_replace( array('www.', '.com'), '', $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME']);
echo 'Domain is: ' . $domain;
