as of mysql 4.1 and the support for different character sets my problems begun with it 😕
specially when using phpmyadmin, my first problem appears in the home page as i cant find languages not in unicode format for example in the past i could find in the list (arabic: windows-1256 and arabic utf-8, posnian: windows-1250 and posnian utf-8 and so on) now there is only utf-8
