[RESOLVED] Paragraphing for long text

I have a database of articles, with a field called "text" with the the type being longtext.

I ususally cut and paste the article text (which already is in paragraphs)into that field but it is displayed on the site as one block.

1)Is it better to cut and paste text into that field or is it beter to maybe save it as a *.txt file and upload it to database.

2)If i do the above point, will my paragraphs be maintained?

You need something within the text to tell it there are paragraphs, either use line breaks or html tags.
