Getting a function to run at a specified time??

Is it possible to get a function to run at a specified time, i.e. a function that runs a query and inserts some stuff into a database at 12:59 on the last day of the month?

I would think there would be but haven't found anything on it yet.

This is an operating system feature. If your on Linux... search for cron jobs.
