[RESOLVED] time help

Hi all thank you for looking at this :

Okay I am trying to add two times together to equal a new time

I have the following

$Arrive = 03:45:00
$duration = 00:30:00

$depart2 = date("H:i:s", strtotime("+1 hour".$Arrive));

$depart2 would now be 04:45:00

how can I add the duration to this number to give me the final time of

05:15:00

Any Help would be greatly appreciated

Try this example:

$departure = "03:45:00";
$duration = "00:30:00";

$aryDeparture = explode(":", $departure);
$aryDuration = explode(":", $duration);

$timeDeparture = mktime($aryDeparture[0], $aryDeparture[1], $aryDeparture[2]);

$arrive = date("H:i:s", strtotime("+" . $aryDuration[0] . " hours +" . $aryDuration[1] . " minutes +" . $aryDuration[2] . " seconds", $timeDeparture));

echo "Departure: " . $departure . "\n";
echo "Duration: " . $duration . "\n";
echo "Arrive: " . $arrive . "\n";

This should bring back the results:

Departure: 03:45:00
Duration: 00:30:00
Arrive: 04:15:00

$Arrive = '03:45:00';
$duration = '00:30:00';

list($hrs, $mins, $secs) = explode(':', $duration);
$duration_secs = ($hrs * 3600) + ($mins * 60) + $secs;
