Hello all,
I am seeking a team of people to assist me in making a facebook/myspace like site. Will be a prefab program anyone can install on their site. There will not be any pay up front, but once it is built, we can licence it to all those people that do want it. There are a lot of people that want something like this, so there is a high demand. All profits will split. What percentage each member gets will be determined after assembling the team.
Here is some people that are needed:
-Graphic Artist (nothing too fancy, just enough to make it look decent)
-PHP programmers - 2 more (in addition to me)
-Testers
I have hosting where we can setup a site where we can share files. I would say building it with MySQL at first would be best bet.
Features of the site/program:
-Login/Logout
-Registration - email verification
-Profile - about/interests/comments from friends
-Friends - add other users to your list of friends.
-Groups - group manager about to manage the members of a group. Message board and/or chat for each group.
-Private Messaging - basically an internal email system
-Browse/Search - find new firiends
-Photo Albums - allow members to upload and share their photos
I am thinking about this and it is more than possible. We could knock this out within a few weeks and then continue to have upgrades. We can decide to make it open source and have it resemble phpBB's management, or not, we'll decide. Also, we may want to think about making two versions, one with 'networks', much like facebook and another without, much like myspace.
