I'm not sure if the subject makes too much sense.
As mentioned on a previous, post, I am very new to php, so some things I ask, may not be handled by php...really don't know.
Most of us have seen websites where there are several categories to choose from, and suppose you choose category X and category X has 30 products. The way I want to do this is show a thumbnail of the product, the lowest price, and a link to the product page. But here's the deal, most pages will not want to show all 30 products on one page. suppose the query resulted in 200 products...something we definitely do not want to show on one page. So if you've seen this on websites before, you notice how when you click the category, (assume there are 30 products in the resulting category) it brings you to that category page and shows you thumbnails of, say for example, 9 products at a time. And it then lets you choose page2, page3, and finally, page four with the remaining three products. Often you will see sites that let you sort these query results by price, name, etc (and maybe that is done with the ORDER BY statement in mysql).
So my question is: does php do this? And if so, can someone give me an idea of a tutorial or a link that explains how to do this, meaning, how to spead the results over several pages.
And if you're really motivated, and if this is easy for you, assuming the coding is just a couple of lines and really simply, maybe someone can simply explain how to do this.
Thanks for your help.
