Ok So here is the deal; I have been banging my head on this problem for a few weeks now and to no avail.
One of my Co-Workers wrote a php script to help display some information that is sent back to us by the software we produce. Now the script reads files which are formatted like this:
Filename: User@email.com_sync.log.07202006-15.11
/BalloonHelpR3_demo/BalloonHelp.cpp|20060720-15.08.05|DF|RM
/BalloonHelpR3_demo/BalloonHelp.cpp|20060720-15.08.05|DF|RG
/BalloonHelpR3_demo/BalloonHelp.h|20060720-15.08.05|DF|RM
/BalloonHelpR3_demo/BalloonHelp.h|20060720-15.08.06|DF|RG
/BalloonHelpR3_demo/BalloonHelp.html|20060720-15.08.06|DF|RM
/BalloonHelpR3_demo/BalloonHelp.html|20060720-15.08.06|DF|RG
/BalloonHelpR3_demo/BalloonTest.cpp|20060720-15.08.06|DF|RM
Ignore the filenames they are just for example.
The problem is that sometimes these userlog files get fairly large (to process) and we have forund that anything over 4-5mb would cause the page to hang and timeout.
The person who wrote it Isolated where she thought the trouble area is and I have staired at it for a long time now and have not been able to solve this problem.
If anyone can help I would be more that happy to pay
I will post the PHP we are using in the next post as it is fairly large however the problem area lies within the porcessing functions located at the bottom.
