HTML Table within PHP not showing data?

OK, thanks very much for looking first off...

I am sending an HTML email to myself from a PHP page, and this contains a table.

My problem is that within the HTML I have...

<td>Student Surname:</td><td><? echo $pd1?></td>

The data exists within $pd1 because I've tested it by sending a none HTML email to myself - and the data sends fine!

What am I doing wrong???

Thanks for the reply, I've tested that by changing it to <?php echo $pd1?> and it didnt make any difference, it's still not there!

No worries, I've fixed this myself now.

Just for reference, if anyone has the same problem...

Use...

' . $whatever . ' in the code!
