Hi all
I've got a neat little php hit counter which increments a text file every time there's a hit to one of the pages I serve up. It's small and it does the job. What I'd like though, is for it to count all the hits to my (Apache) server. I've just spent three days trying to work it out and my brain's starting to melt. Am I missing something really easy here?
Pages are accessed by http://IP/pagefolder/page.php (or htm/l) and the corresponding location on my computer is c:/phpdev/pagefolder/page.php. As all pages are in sub-folders of c:/phpdev/ I would have expected the hit counter to have dropped into the c:/phpdev/ folder to have recorded each hit and then be read from there. Obviously not because it doesn't work.
Has anyone got any suggestions that might help (without being too rude)? 😕
(Just for info, I'm using phpdev423 on Windows 2000)
I should also mention that I'm a real amateur at PHP and such things. :queasy:
