creating an image from a table

I have a set of php scripts I've worked out that produce a series of tables that contain a mix of images and text in the cells.

What I's like to do is have the tables output on the page as either .png or .jpg images rather than the table cels.

Is it possible to do this?

This is what I am trying to make into an image rather than table.

Why would you want to do that?

I am inserting site identifier into the table.

So If someone scrapes the info it has the site name in the image.

I think performance of the site will suffer, as the page filesizes will increase by doing so, and download time will increase (for the users) .

Also, your layout is semi-fluid, meaning the tables expand and contract based on user monitor resolution and window size, etc... Creating images will not have this ability obviously.

I would suggest thinking of another approach to add security and to prevent scraping the data from your pages...
