covert 1 to 0001 using str ??

Hi,

i am having a total brain freeze today and cant remember the command/function to do this.

i am listing some numbers which are 4 digits long, starting from 0 - 1000, however i need all the results in 4digits eg

0001, 0002 and so on

not 1, 2, etc.

PLease help
