What do you mean by "without too many problems"? You need PHP installed (latest version recommended, but other versions might work as well) an, of course...php scripts.
If you wanted to ask about PHP's optimal configuration...that's something else and it depends on what kind of software will you be running as a webpage.
Maybe post some more details and someone can give a more thorough answer.
