Alright, I know this job may be simple, but I have tried learning how to do it myself, and haven’t had any success. Now, I am out of time, and need it done by someone who knows what they are doing. What I need is a basic login system. So here is the situation:
I am working on a company site and we are relatively small. We don’t have the funds to pay for a big fancy website, so I was making the website with my little knowledge of HTML. Now, to the part I can not handle. We need a login system. Here is how we want it to work:
We want a system that has a few features:
- Only the Administrator can create accounts. We do NOT want a register page. We want a small, secure network.
- Then, the created accounts, and only those accounts, can log in to out system. We want the people to be able to change their password, but that’s about the only user control we want.
- We want the system to work with our website to where the users will go to our homepage, select the login link and be taken to a login page. Once they log in with their valid information, they are taken to a page with many other links. Then the users can access those links, but no one else. So only valid, logged in users can see that information.
- If someone that is not logged in tries to access the pages, we want a page to be shown that will display a message and then have the link to the login page as well.
- If someone loses their password, we want them to have to call us and verify who they are for us to reset their password for them.
- We want to be able to view the database information once we register the account for them in a long list/table like format with everyone’s information.
- The information we want to store in the database will be Name, Company, Email, Phone Number, Username, Password, and the option for more later.
