[RESOLVED] Help needed highlighting a table row?

I have seen this on other sites, and wondered how I would go about it.

I have a table that is PHP generated and wondered how I would place a 'hover' action on a table row, so that when the mouse is over the table the rows background changes colour.

Its probably done with CSS but i was told it can be done with PHP.

Any help / advice would be appreciated.

PHP is a server side scripting language. That means all of the script is parsed before it's sent to the browser. Whoever told you it could be done with PHP was incorrect, since what you want is a client-side action. What you want to use is CSS in conjunction with onmouseover and onmouseout events...

Thanks for the link, however I really cant seem to get it to work with th <tr> tag, because I need the whole row to change, not just the cell.

I do have another question about forms, if you can help

I have a form to update a MySQL record, but how can I place a link on the same page to add some pre-determined text to a TEXT AREA part of the form?

That's more of a JavaScript question rather than an HTML/Form question. I'm afraid I'm not into JavaScript. Someone else may know the answer here... If you don't get your answer, you may want to try Googling, or posting to a JavaScript forum. Sorry I can't help you out there.
