people need to learn "Thank you"

One thing I dislike about helping people is that they don't even thank you.
They don't have have to nessecarily thank you but atleast tell us the code worked.

What I meant to say is that if we, the coders help you solve a problem then give us a confirmation that the code works.

If they reply no more I assume the help posted to them has worked. However they could have found another way of doing it or got help from somewhere else so you can't really know. Although I agree with you it would be nice to know if the help provided solved their problem or not and if they figured out some other way to post back their solution to possible help other people with the same problem that run a cross their topic.

Yeah I definitely agree with you on this point. It is important that we know the issue is now fixed and can be fixed.

Frankly, I'd even appreciate a "sorry, that didn't help me at all, but thanks for trying". I get a lot of "that still doesn't help me. i'm looking for this. how can it be done?". I know that people are pressed for time, but common courtesy shouldn't take a backseat.
