Export data to csv template?

Hi all,

i am going to export data to a quotation template which orginally an excel file. But i got the following issues:

1. Since the new webserver won't have MS office install, so can i convert the excel template to csv format template so that i can write as a csv file?

2. How to fit the query result into the template?

Look at pear.org, they have a solution for that or you can make your template in office and save in in excel-xml format, just put your placeholders in there when you export this file. You could use SOAP for that.
