Server's Status

Hey guys,
I was wondering is there any code in which you could check a page on a server and display the status in text of whether a server is up or down? something to do with a failed query and then displaying the text. Help is appreciate because im not too good with php

One thing I have learnt on forums is not to be too impatient. It was only 2 hours between your posts. I don't actually know the answer to this as I am a newbie to php too but if anyone knows the answer, they will say so.

Anime... Typically on the weekends, the traffic is pretty light on the boards. During the week, you'll usually find and get hep right away, but during the weekends, it can take a few hours... Just gotta be patient. Glad you figured it out. Be sure to mark your thread resolved.
