[RESOLVED] Who is logged in feature

Hi,

I am not sure if it is possible to do this with php. I am currently making my own online game and forum. I was wondering if it would be possible to make it so that it lists who is currently logged in, so it logs people out "onUnload" (in the body tag) and then, when they login, it shows them in the list of logged in users.

Any help with this would be great.

Yes, of course its possible. You would need to store some sort of last activity timestamp alongside there username. You would then need to check through this last activity field and display any users with activity within the last 10 mins or so.

Ah, ok. I had thought of doing an onload set loggedin = 1, onunload set loggedin = 0 type thing... but that didn't work. I also tried using php code within a javascript function but that didn't work either. Thanks for the help, thorpe.
