Contact Us Form Not Working

Hi,

I bought a flash template and am trying to make the contact us form work.

I had to make a contact.php script and i thought i did everything correctly but its sending an email with no body and the sender is "unknown". The contact form has fields:
Name (t1) , Email (t2) , Phone Number (t3) and Message (t4).

Here is my script...

The contact form has fields:
Name (t1) , Email (t2) , Phone Number (t3) and Message (t4).

You might try retrieving them then.

$t1 = $_GET['Name'];
$t2 = $_GET['Email'];
$t3 = $_GET['PhoneNumber'];
$t4 = $_GET['Message'];

Also.. are you sure its being sent via GET and not POST? Its unusual is all.

Sorry i dont understand.

Im a newbie so i followed a tutorial and tried to make it relative to my situation and fields.

Can you paste the script you think i should be using?

Replace your.....

$t1 = $_GET[''];
$t2 = $_GET[''];
$t3 = $_GET[''];
$t4 = $_GET[''];

With my...

 $t1 = $_GET['Name'];
$t2 = $_GET['Email'];
$t3 = $_GET['PhoneNumber'];
$t4 = $_GET['Message'];

And see if that gets you anywhere.

Ps; Did you get instructions on how to use this flash form? Surely, you know what data it is meant to be sending.

Ok i tried that and its not working.

I didn't get instructions, they are really not helpful where i bought the template from, i just assumed they could help me set up the contact form but they say that they dont give support to flash templates. Im really frustrated with them so i was hoping i could get help here.

Any other ideas?

Can you make sure i haven't left out any spaces or anything really simple.

Place this in your acript and show me the output it produces.

print_r($_REQUEST);

where do i paste it exactly?

and do you just want me to paste it in and save it..then what?

Paste it into your contact.php page, and yes, of course you'll need to save it. You'll then need to fill in the form (in flash) and hit submit.

Actually... how do you even know this form posts to a file called contact.php? You really ought to be taking this up with howver you bought the template from... sounds real dodgy to me.

Just replace your entire script with this...

You have the script backed up here on the forum so dont worry. Now... just fill in the form and hit submit... what is the output?

It brought up the window that said Array ( ) and that is all it said and it didn't send anything.

Well... sorry, but it appears your flash form isn't working then. Id'e take this up with whomever you got it from. Seriously, without instructions... theres not allot more we can do.

One last quick option. Try this...

  print_r($_GET);

No that didnt work, but what are you trying to do with those 2 lines of coding alone?

Looks like im going to have to pay someone then damn.
