MySQL select row via POSTDATA

I am trying to get PHP to only read a specific row from a mySQL database. In addition I am trying to determine the row it reads based on post data from a link that submits hidden form data. Could someone explain how to do that? Thank You for hearing me out.

POST data will be returned to your form handling script in the $_POST array. use the data in this array to form your SQL query using the WHERE clause to pull the specific row you want.
