send to a friend problem

I am trying to make a send to friend function using mail code. When I use $message to send this message coded this way, the email programs im using such as outlook do not interpret the html tags i have and instead write "href" and such. how do i fix this?

$message = "\n\n A friend has invited you to play PROTRADE'S MASCOT KOMBAT online videogame!\n\n<a href=\"http://protrade.com\">http://protrade.com</a>";
mail($sendTo, $subject, $message, $headers); 

i'm new, please help.

Well, you'd need to tell the clients that the content of the message is HTML and not plain text.

Where are your $headers defined?

$subject = "A Friend Has Recommended PROTRADE'S MASCOT KOMBAT";

$headers = "From: " . "PROTRADE.COM" ."\r\n";

$headers .= "Reply-To: " . $_POST["email"] . "\r\n";

$headers .= "Return-path: " . $_POST["email"];

I got this stuff form a tutorial, so I don't really know how to work with it besides changing the text.

Try adding something like this:

$headers .= 'Content-Type: text/html';

(Note that you'll want to add the \r\n on to the header above this header in order to separate the two)
