how use regular expression in paragraph

i want to ask how use regular expression in paragraph like this.

example : file configuration at linux with name = httpd.conf

#servername linux.com
#listen:80
<virtualhost 192.168.1.2>
servername www.linux.com
documentroot /var/www/html/
</virtualhost 192.168.1.2>

question:
1. how can i find with reqular expression the word www.linux.com?
2. than www.linux.com make a variabel?

im sory if my english is very bad.

yeah, sounds like he needs str_replace() function.

If you want to find and replace many words in a string you can do this:

this should work if you are using php5.
