I'd like to add an online status indicator on my site. But I haven't figured out a way how to do that in PHP. If someone who has more experience on this, please give me a hint.
The way I hope it works is simple
1) if a user log in my site, he/she or everybody else could see that he/she is online.
2) if this user is logoff/close the window, everybody else could see that he/she is offline
3) at any given time, my site would have the total number of users online, as well as their user_name.
