[RESOLVED] set_include_path() problem

hi

how do i go up a level with set_include_path() so that i can use the same header and footer includes in pages in a sub-directory ?

I'd tried that and it hadn't worked and I've just tried it again and it works .....!!

But now I have another problem - the images in the "incl_header.php" file won't load because it's now at a different level

when incl_header.php is included into a page at the root, the images load in because the relative directory path "images/image.jpg" works

but now the incl_header.php is included in a page in a sub-directory I would have to put "../iimages/image.jpg" for the images to be loaded - arg !

How can i get round this problem ? - do i have to use an absolute file path for all images ?

Probably the simplest solution is to use an absolute path instead of a relative path, e.g.:

set_include_path($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/images');

Or, if you want to keep any existing paths as well:

set_include_path($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/images' . PATH_SEPARATOR . get_include_path());
