Something wrong with the script

Hi everyone 🙂

I'm pretty new to PHP, and I stated building some kind of a fan site with CuteNews.

There's something wrong with my script, and I can't figure out what! in every PHP script I build the outcome looks different in Firefox and Explorer. For example, on Firefox the CuteNews look fine, but on Explorer it's hiding somewhere at the top... why is that, and how can I fix it?....

I really doubt this has anything to do with PHP but everything to do with the client-side code.

First off, you need to assign a doctype as the very first line of the HTML output, which besides being a required element will also help get IE out of "quirks mode" and closer to being standards-compliant.

• Don't Forget to Add a Doctype

• List of Valid Doctypes

Once you've done that, run your page throught the validators and find out if anything else is wrong with your HTML/CSS mark-up:

• HTML Validator

• CSS Validator
