$_SESSION & Session_register()

what is the different between them? there are advantages and disadvantages?

i never use session_register, only use $_Session to make global variabel...

any suggestions ? thank you in advance

The main advantage of $SESSION is that it is not dependent on the register_globals setting of your PHP installation, so scripts using $SESSION are much more portable than those using session_register().
