Free 1-min web monitoring service?

Hi,

I need to have a PHP script on my server be run every minute, but my host does not allow cron jobs. As a workaround, would anyone know of a free web monitoring service which would work for such small intervals? They all seem to propose 15 minutes at best, which is too long for me.

I know of no free ones. I might be able to put something on my server if you want.

you can set this up to run locally and not worry about your host not giving you cron jobs.

this is a nice basic setup you can run on your windows at home:

download and install xampp
download cron.exe and figure how it works
download wget.exe and you should be sorted

you can google for the links....

then every minute when your computer there is switched on cron will execute wget to call the url of the script you need to call.

one thing though, dump your host. you will not be able to develop as a developer if they are holding you back like that.
