[RESOLVED] Strip number to 6 decimal places?

Hello

I'm in need of stripping a decimal number to 6 places AFTER the decimal point.

E.G. Number returned = 51.6441399264171

when I need it to be 51.644139

The number must be stripped, and not round($number, 6) as this sometimes alters the number which is not what I need :queasy:

Any help would be very welcome 🙂

$shortlong = sprintf ("%.6f", $long);
echo "<br><br>Short Number LONG = $shortlong"; 😃
