Xinha Text Editor To work with static PhP?

I wonder if anyone have succsessfully implemented Xinha editor within a site containing static php pages -no DB backend and no CMS?

I remember reading about one that did something similar with FCKeditor, problem is that I can not find the article anymore. And another thing is I like Xinha much better then FCK.

I have little coding knowledge so please help me explaining this in small words.

I am sure that an approach like this will give me more responsive webpages then if I implement a full blown cms yet I would like to have an easy way to edit content without thouching the code.

I belive that xinha would work with static php pages. Some sort of control is needed in order to sort out who has the right to edit the pages. For this maybe .htaccess could be the solution?

I am thinking that whatever erea on a page that should be editable I would use this in my markup: <textarea id="content"></textarea> so that only the defined erea was possible to edit.

The problem is that I am not sure how I should code this in order to work. I am fairly new to php and basically what I have done before is implementing scripts, so my level of confidence and knowledge is rather poor. Any pointers and tips how to make this work would be great.

Installing looks like it should be doable, but as I am also trying to serve pages as small and optimised as possible I think that this might cause codebloath? Will it be worth it or will the page loadtime increase too much?
