Search PHP file contents??

I have over 70 php files that I need to search fast and find all php files that contain a specific phrase/ part of code. Is there a way to do this a program that does this?

Any good text-editor can achieve this with a Search In Files... function. I use EditPlus and it works like a dream. Others to check out are UltraEdit, Dreamweaver, Notepad++, etc.

There is a thread in the Echo Lounge on Text editors, I suggest you read that for one that suits your needs.

Any decent operating system would provide the same functionality as part of its shell/filesystem interface.

Im working with php in eclipse , and yes there you can search for any word all over in ur project php files hierarchy.

Although that's a complete IDE which is probably better run in Linux. You may wish to try Notepad++ as it offers much of the same stuff, for no cost.
