How do you make a posting script?

I'm trying to make a posting script for my site for pretty much my blog pages I'm making, but I have no idea how to do PHP and was wondering if someone on here might be able to help me.

What I'm wanting is where someone can come in click post comment, type there message, hit submit, and there it is on the page. Sounds simple to me, but I have no idea where to start.

I'm also wanting to make a login script so people would have to join to leave me a message in blog, home page, etc.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a comment script or shoutbox. Try searching the board or HotScripts for examples.

It's like what MySpace has. I was going to try and use a guestbook script to work it but the database wouldn't post the comment 🙁. If I can't find it here I'll just wait about a year and a half till I'm in college and can hopefully learn from there and get the rest of the coding I'll need to make web sites.
