[RESOLVED] Adding 14 days to a date

Hi,

How do I add 14 days to a date in the format of Y-m-d? I'm unable to test it at the moment because I'm on a machine that doesn't have php set up. Otherwise I would be playing around with the date function to figure it out.

Also, if you're retrieving this date from MySQL (or another database engine), there are functions within the database engine that can achieve the same result (probably more efficiently, too).

I just tested it and it didn't seem to work:

// loan date is todays date
$loan_date = date("Y-m-d");
// due date is todays date plus two weeks
$due_date = date('Y-m-d', strtotime($loan_date . "+14 days"));

?? It seems to work perfectly for me; "echo $due_date;" displays "2006-09-30", which is 14 days from today.

You're right, it doesn work. There was an error in my syntax elsewhere in the script. Thanks 🙂
