[RESOLVED] adding variables to a list ?

Hi there.

I have a dropdown list that shows a lot of places and prices.
Looks like: someplace - $ someprice.

The users of the page selects one or more places, and i would like to show selections on the same page.
And calculate the total price.

And i don't quite know how to do it.
I can select one by a form with a button and make it show when reloading the page, but how do I do it, if i want to select more places?

Any suggestions ?

Well that didn't solve anything.
I have a submit button next to the dropdownlist, and every time it is clicked, I wan't to add the place to a list in a text-area, and calculate the total price, and then mail the content of the textarea.

Dunno how to do this. :bemused:

Did u try to keep the results from your submit in a cookie or session and display them in that textarea?

No, sry bogu, didn't think of that.
Will try to if I can figure out how to.

How do I add to a value in a cookie or session.
If a guest has to choose 3 different places, he has to click the button one time for each place.
How do I add the 3 places to the cookie or session?

Whatever u like...

Working with cookie or sessions:
setcookie
Session handling functions

I suggest u to use a separator and when u want to find the values explode that string. U may also create an array but be aware setting up a cookie array is just like setting up different cookies and on one domain u can set only 20 cookies, so a cookie array cant have more then 20 elements.
