Time Calculations, Need Help

I am writing a script that works with times, and i need to perform calculations. What i am looking at doing is adding mins and hours to gether, to get an overall time, and also wanting to do % aswell.

So if i have something which takes 12mins, and i need to repeat the process 7 times, i want the overall time for the job to complete.

i suggest storing all of your temporal data as UNIX timestamps. then it's pretty simple math from there on out.

Hi, yeah i thought about that too, as you say they easy to work with the timestamp, however thats only usable if i was working with current times wouldnt it?

i.e.

I want a blueprints reseaching and it takes 23Mins for every cycle, but i would like to perform 76 cycles of research.

which would be 76 x 23... = 1748 how would i get than into x days and x mins, appose to Monday 23rd 2006 format etc.

This should do it:

$total_min = 1748;
$time_array = min_to_dy_hr_min($total_min);
foreach ($time_array as $key => $val) {
    echo $key . ' : ' . $val . '<br />';
}

If you don't want hours just do:

$days = floor($total_mins / 1440);
$minutes = $total_min - ($days * 1440);
