[RESOLVED] swapping between two databases

Hi

like a lot of people, i usually have my mysql db connection details in an include so that they're available to all pages

but now i'm working on a project that takes some data from one db and some data from a separate db, but both on the same server

this is causing me a headache - what's the best way of setting it up so that i can include the connection info for BOTH db's in one include file and then call the connection to one or the other as and when i need to ?

how do people usually handle this ?

I would do a class of the included file that stores the db and all functions needed. Then you can do two instances of that class, one for each database.
