[RESOLVED] Insert multiple checkboxes in multiple rows

I am doing something for my job and I can't solve the problem.

I have created 3 tables:
1. employees - 2 fields (id, name)
2. function - 2 fields (id, function) - 3 entires (director (id.no. 1), manager (id.no. 2), worker (id.no. 3))
3. results - 2 fields (id_employees, id_function)

On page you can from dropdown menu select employees and then on forms you can find checkboxes (functions). You are allowed to check multiple checkboxes.

For every checked checkboxes I need to insert in table results new row.

Explaination:
Select from dropdown menu employee: John Cash
Multiple checkbox: director, manager
Results in results table:
id_employees | id_function
2 | 1
2 | 3

I just hope that you have understand me and you will help me, couse I'm totaly lost 🙁

I know how to do it, but I don't know how to insert each value in checkbox in new rows.

Maybe this will sound stupid to you, but me as a newbie don't have idea how to do that. I mean I did loop for showing all checkboxes, but for insert? Please help me.

The name of the checkbox should be something like this:

name=\"chkFunction[]\"

After u submit your form it should be something like this:

I inserted this:

foreach ($_POST['chkFunction'] as $value) {
$sql = "INSERT INTO results (id_name, id_function) 
	VALUES ('{$_POST['id1']}', '{$value}')";

mysql_query($sql,$con)or die(mysql_error()); 

but I recived this error:

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/.../razpored_vnos.php on line 40

Guys thank you very much that problem is solved now.

But I have another question.

I would like to delete all rows where checkboxe values are not selected.

I was thinking that I could do statement:

$sql3 = "DELETE FROM results WHERE id_employees = $id_delavc AND id_function != $value1 AND id_function != $value2 AND ...";

Does anyone have idea how to solve that?

U should check for mysql IN, NOT IN OPERATORS.
