'Disposition-Notification-to' in a mail() header places a read receipt on the message. I'm looking for a Sent Receipt. A receipt to the writer when the mail is successfully sent. My hoster got blacklisted this week for spam. Now whenever I send an email to a hotmail account it is not received and I do not get a mail delivery problem email.

How to get a 'Sent Receipt' not a 'Read Receipt'

I don't know that any such thing exists. But it sounds like the root problem is the blacklisting. Tell your host to contact MSN and get themselves removed from their blacklist.
