Is it possible for

A Java pop up window to close once a button is clicked, and at the same time re-direct the users from the current page to a specified page?

for instance

visit the link below

http://www.boxbagz.com/specials.php

and click on "order this bag". A pop-up menu appears, i want the current page (specials.php) to be redirected to the thankyou page once the pop-up closes (when you hit sumit in the pop-op window).

Is this possible?

Yep, it's possible.

Try using an onclick or onsubmit like this
"opener.location='<parent window will go to this page>';self.close();"

You should be aware, however, that the language you're referring to is Javascript, not Java. They're 2 entirely different things.
