100% php noob

i have a good knowledge of html and css but i am cluless when it comes to php, i am putting a counterstrike source gaming league and was planning on using php for the team and member profiles. so how exactly would i do this?

and im using a MySQL datda base, and im not very knowledgable with sql either, all i know is that in order to do what i want to do i need to create a few tables and use sessions.

so how would i go about doing this? or maybe there is a cms that would make this work easier?

If you want to do it yourself, start by learning the basics, and get familiar with the PHP Manual.

From your brief description, I'm not sure that a CMS is what you need, but you can look at www.opensourcecms.com to see if something there looks good. Otherwise you might want to browse/search the PHP section of www.hotscripts.com to see if there's already a script that does what you need.
