I realize this probably is not the right place for this, but I've exhausted my resources and am in a funny situation. I'm having some email issues on a VPS. My problem is that my server will not send emails using my php scripts to a couple domains. Actually it works with all domains except two specific ones. This happened overnight. The server was sending email fine to these domains one day, then the next day it just stopped. Here is the test script I'm using:
<?php
$message = "Someone has used the contact form. This is your message";
//email address to send info to
$adminemail = "test@domain1.com";
if(mail($adminemail,"Domain Test Form",
$message, "From:WebMaster <test@test.com>")){
echo Submitted;
}
?>
As you can see, its a pretty straight forward script. I am working with 5 domains here.
Domain 1 - Hosted on Host 1
Domain 2 - Hosted on Host 2
Domain 3,4,5 - Hosted on VPS w/ Host 3
When I run the script on:
-Domain 1 (sending the email to Domain 1,2,3,4,5 ) the recipient recieves the email.
-Domain 2 (sending the email to Domain 1,2,3,4,5 ) the recipient recieves the email.
-Domain 3,4,5 (sending the email to Domain 3,4, or 5) the recipient recieves the email.
-Domain 3,4,5 (sending the email to any domain except Domain 1,2) the recipient recieves the email
Domain 3,4,5 (sending the email to Domain 1 OR 2) the recipient does not recieve the email.
This has created a huge problem for me because Domain 1 and Domain 2 can't recieve any emails from any domains on this VPS.
Again, I realize this may be the wrong place, but this is one of the last places I could turn. And hey, you guys are smart as hell. I can't even get any help from the company hosting the VPS.
Thank you for ANY ideas on how I could troubleshoot this further, as I'm out of them.
