returning multiple vars from a function

i am creating a function to do a specific task, but i want it to return 2 variables.

is it possible, or must create two different functions,

or is this where someone tells me i should learn the difference between a function and a class??

You can return an array, or the function can take the two variables by reference.

function myFunction() {
   $returnValue1 = 'value A';
   $returnValue2 = 'value B';
